Remember the last time an original Broadway musical made you laugh, cry and think?
It is expected to be 18 months to 2 years before Wicked comes to Sydney, therefore we are planning to operate several tours to Melbourne.
Wicked opened on Broadway in 2003 and has now performed in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London’s West End, Tokyo, Stuttgart, Amsterdam and Melbourne.
It is listed as the hottest musical in the world and already one of the most successful shows in live theatre history. Winner of 15 major awards including a Grammy award & 3 Tony awards.
Wicked, tells the story of the remarkable journey of how these two unlikely characters from different backgrounds form a very strong bond and friendship.
Elphaba-the ‘Wicked’ witch, born with emerald-green skin has had a rough childhood and is an outcast from the beginning.
Glinda-the ‘Good” witch, pretty, charming, entrancing, ambitious, perky and vain. Glinda is very popular, but also vulnerable and sympathetic.
Wicked is classic musical entertainment with wit, spectacle, a wonderful score and unbelievable costume design.
The Australian cast of Wicked will each add their own unique star qualities to the show. Amanda Harrison is Elphaba the ‘Wicked’ Witch, Lucy Durrack is Glinda the ‘Good’ Witch, with other principle roles being played by Rob Guest, Rob Mills, Anthony Callea and Maggie Kirkpatrick.
